The Gilwood Golf & Country Club offers an interesting challenge to any golfer, no matter how skilled.Overlooking the shores of Lesser Slave Lake, the Gilwood Golf and Country Club is a surprisingly demanding 18 hole course that keeps drawing golfers back to test themselves against its challenging fairways.The 18-hole course is located 10 kilometres north of Slave Lake on Hwy. 88, in Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park.
Gilwood is a great place to play if you like trees. Carved out of a mature spruce and aspen forest in the late 1980s, it is as pretty a place to spend an afternoon as any golfer could hope for. Come and play a round!
